My Favourite Colour

Indian yellow, it’s so rich and golden, steeped in history. Like the colour of saffron when its soaked, and then added to white rice. When I squeeze it from the tube its on its way to orange, but has an earthy edge, then it lights up when spread thinly over white, or electrifies an existing yellow.
